In the sacred land of Sangrur, Punjab, Guru Nanak Dev Ji sat in divine meditation with Bhai Mardana Ji, filling the air with celestial kirtan. Suddenly, a violent storm erupted, twisting into terrifying forms—a manifestation of Kali Yuga, the Age of Darkness.
The Confrontation with Kali Yuga
- Bhai Mardana’s Fear: Trembling at the storm’s fury, Mardana turned to Guru Ji, who reassured him:
“Fear only exists for those distant from God. Saints walk with the Creator’s strength.” - Kali Yuga’s Surrender: The storm took human form, bowing before Guru Nanak, confessing:
“I did not know your glory. Forgive me. My kingdom drowns in lies, greed, violence, and illusion—men have forgotten God.”
The Age of Darkness Pleads for Mercy
Kali Yuga, trembling, admitted:
- His commanders were falsehood, slander, addiction, and cruelty.
- Humanity was enslaved by Maya, chasing wealth over truth.
- He feared divine judgment for the evils spreading under his reign.
Offering diamond palaces and pearls to Guru Ji, Kali Yuga begged for protection. But the Guru smiled:
“I need nothing but Naam (God’s Name). Those who chant ‘Sat Naam’ will be untouched by your darkness.”
Guru Nanak’s Eternal Blessing
Guru Ji declared:
- “Meditate on Truth, and Kali Yuga’s poison cannot harm you.”
- “The Lord’s Name is the only refuge in this age of deceit.”
With these words, Guru Nanak Dev Ji lit the lamp of divine wisdom, proving that even in Kali Yuga, truth prevails.
