The Debate in Aurangzeb’s Court
One day, a debate arose regarding the meaning of a verse from the Sharif. Even the court officials struggled to understand its true interpretation. Bhai Nand Lal Ji, with his deep knowledge, explained the verse exceptionally well. Hearing his explanation, Aurangzeb was astonished and thought that such a great scholar should not remain in Hinduism but should be converted to Islam.

The Warning from Bahadur Shah
When Bahadur Shah, the son of Aurangzeb, learned about his father’s intentions, he warned Bhai Nand Lal Ji. He advised him that if he wished to save his life, he should immediately go to Sri Anandpur Sahib. There, under the protection of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Aurangzeb’s influence would not reach him.
Bhai Nand Lal Ji’s Journey to Sri Anandpur Sahib
Bhai Nand Lal Ji accepted Bahadur Shah’s advice and traveled to Sri Anandpur Sahib to seek the shelter of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Guru Ji welcomed him warmly and even declared him one of his courtiers.
A Legacy of Courage and Faith
