People often measure good days by wealth and success. A man who once earned 500 rupees daily rejoices when his income jumps to 2000, declaring, “My good days have come!” Another, already a factory owner, celebrates opening a second one, saying the same. But when someone asked Guru Arjan Dev Ji, “What is the real sign of a good day?” the True Master replied with divine wisdom.
“A good day is when you receive the darshan of saints, when kirtan fills your hours, and when the Creator’s blessings flow through the Guru’s grace. The greatest day is when you meet a Gurmukh—one who chants the Lord’s name and lives in devotion. That day is the best of your life, for its blessings uplift all other days.”
Wealth, factories, and material gains come and go with time. But the day you find the company of those who remember the Lord—that is life’s true golden day. Sat Sri Akal.
